WHOLE HORSE POWER 63 Longbow Ln Wimberley, TX 78676
Stories
12 horses at Prestonwood - takes into account the interconnectedness of mental and physical well being of the horse as a factor in the success of the horse.
An Old Injury Healed with TTEAM - A five-year old, this mare had surgery on both forelegs to correct the effects of nutritionally-induced contracted tendons. Ever since the surgery, the mare has been mistrusting of people and hyper-sensitive to being touched and vetted.
Ernie - This is the first bird I’ve worked on and one of the most amazing recovery stories that I have. As nothing else was changed in this birds’ life, as far as nutrition, medication, or environment, I cannot attribute these changes to anything other than TTEAM; nor can the veterinarian.
Forastero - He claimed that I must be a witch because I could “hypnotise” the horses. Even though I had tried to show him and the caballerangos what I was doing and how to do it, they just could not accept that anyone could get those results.
James - He often dragged his owner around when she was supposedly leading him. He hated being ridden. In the arena he acted lazy and ring sour. On the trails he would rear and run backward or spin and try to turn for home any time he encountered something that he wasn’t sure of.
Mars -When confronted with a request he would become rigid, rear, and run backward. If tied he would fight, rear and throw himself on the ground, often injuring himself, until he broke something and was freed.
Romeo - Romeo came home to stay at Christmas in 1994 after being a weekend visitor for months. I remember the first thing I was told about him. “Don’t put your finger in there, he’ll bite you”. So of course I had to make friends with him.
Sanduga - She would turn away and move to the back of the stall when a person entered; she hated having her ears touched and was difficult to groom and tack up, as she would constantly move away.
